LILY ALLEN PLAYS HER FIRST NORTH AMERICAN GIG:

Last night I went to see U.K. superstar Lily Allen at her first ever gig in North America at the sold out Lee's Palace in Toronto. DJ/Producer Mark Ronson opened up for her spinning an okay set before Lily came on around 10pm. Unfortunately Lily's vocals got drowned out by the music at the beginning coming from her live bass player and keyboard/programmer. It improved slightly during the very short 35 minute set, but the crowd reacted like they couldn't get enough of her. It would have been nicer to have a longer set, she could have done some more b-sides and some of the covers that she has performed live in the U.K.. I'm sure she will be back soon at a larger venue, not bad for an artist that has yet to receive any major radio play in the city.

Set List:

LDN
Nan You're A Window Shopper
Shame For You
Knock Em Out
Littlest Things
Friday Night
Smile

Encore:
Friend Of Mine
