THOMPSON TWINS TO REUNITE FOR 2009 COACHELLA MUSIC FESTIVAL:
You heard it here first, rumours are that the Thompson Twins have been signed to perform at the 2009 Coachella Music Festival that takes place in Indio California. Hopefully it will be Tom, Alannah and Joe back together for the first time since the mid to late 80's. Not sure if this is a one off gig or if this will lead to further gigs and maybe a tour. If this gets confirmed this is great news for fans of the band that have been hoping for a reunion for many years.

that would be awesome! Fingers crossed they would do some LA gigs to warm up for that!
This is exciting news, but I will believe this when I see it. Although I'd love to see the band do a reunion gig, they have repeatedly turned down offers to get back together for retro tours. Specifically, Alannah Currie has been unwilling to consider the idea, and seeing as the band members are still extremely wealthy from their pop star days, the money wouldn't be a likely reason for any of them. Here's to hoping!
